Sahara School

The School commences with a presentation of hundreds of pictures of the Marathon des Sables taken over several years, showing the variety of landscapes and conditions. This will be followed by a movie. Much of this information comes direct from the organisers in France as Anke is a senior co-ordinator for the MdS organisers.

There will be information on all aspects of the event, from medical certification through what is required prior to leaving for Morocco.

Anke will discuss equipment:
Compulsory equipment
Clothes and head gear
Night time in the Sahara
Food and water systems
Terrain and weather/heat
Pack weight
Shoes and gaiters
Nutrition
